Natural State of Happiness

I believe that a natural state for most people is a sense of well-being and a sense of overall happiness.
Unhappiness or dis-ease in the mind is a rather normal reaction to events that take place in and around our lives. The key will always be how we react and having the power to pull ourselves out of the rabbit hole.
Let’s start…
Bounce Back
Some people seemed wired to bounce back to what I will call their “normal state of being”, and some people need time in the rabbit hole to reflect and heal. And that’s ok as long as they don’t turn that moment into needless pain.
Happiness is not a constant, nor is it elusive…
Being happy is unique to everyone. So let’s look at three very simple techniques one can use to get back to a natural mindset. The connection between the mind and body is important.
Get Moving
Walk, run, or dance. Basically, do things that will physically get you moving. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain and trigger a positive feeling in the body.Think About Gratitude
In the midst of the daily chaos, remember to be grateful for the little things. It can give you hope to move forward. Remember to be grateful for the little things we often take for granted, like air to breathe and food to eat. Take a deep breath and give gratitude for the small things in your life.Pay It Forward
Doing good feels good. Give the clerk at the store an extra thank you. Help your neighbor. Give your barista a tip. Hold the door for someone. It’s easy to find simple ways to pay it forward and experience that happy feeling. It feels good, right?
